Metali i Staklo d.o.o. was founded in 2010 through the merger of several companies with extensive experience in metal, aluminum, and glass construction in the building industry. Our specialty is luxury villas – enclosing balconies is not part of our services.

LADICA
In a very short time, the workshop began producing its first aluminum windows and doors. However, nothing was simple at that time. For example, due to special restrictive Yugoslav laws in the 1980s, it was necessary to obtain special permits from the federal authorities in Belgrade (the former capital of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, 1918-2003) for importing machines for processing aluminum profiles. Although the machines were already in Zagreb, presented at the “International Zagreb Fair,” and ready for delivery immediately afterward, the entire process of obtaining the necessary permits and delivering them to the workshop took several months.
We sourced the first aluminum profiles from the then-Yugoslav (Croatian) aluminum giant TLM Šibenik.
In the early 1980s, all aluminum profiles for windows and doors were without the so-called thermal break. Profiles with thermal breaks appeared a few years later.
The most common projects involved replacing old wooden shop windows with what was then, technologically speaking, a completely new solution — aluminum glazed walls.
In 1989, the first fax machine was introduced to the office — a rarity at the time and the pinnacle of communication technology (the internet would not emerge until the mid-1990s).
